‘Rule-following’ is a name for cluster of phenomena where we seem both guided and “normatively” constrained by something general in performing particular actions. Understanding the phenomenon important because its connection to meaning, representation, content. This article gives an overview philosophical discussion rule-following. Part I this two-part contribution devoted basic issues from Wittgenstein Kripkenstein's skeptical paradox. II will be about recent answers paradox Boghossian's Wright's new puzzles.
